Brighton-based trio of much digital-dancing merriment, Fujiya & Miyagi (pictured) are back with their fifth album, ‘Artificial Sweeteners’, released through Yep Roc on May 5th.
Clash will have its words on the band’s latest LP up very soon – rest assured it’s another set of quality electro-motifs resting on a bed of Krautrock-kissed influences – but in the meantime we’ve this: a tasty exclusive mix provided by F&M for your delectation.
Says the group’s David Best (great name, that) on the mix:
“This mix was fuelled by the music I’ve been listening to since we’ve finished ‘Artificial Sweeteners’. It stretches from the 1970s, with the Giorgio Moroder song right, to the present with Steve Moore and Rival Consoles. I’m going to try and convince the rest of the group to do a cover of the acid house epic ‘Lack Of Love’ by Charles B and Adonis live. Maybe some of this mix points to similar places we will visit for our next record.”
Tracklisting for the mix follows the embed, and those wanting to get in early on ‘Artificial Sweeteners’ can do so by pre-ordering the record right here.
