It's been four years since Breakage last released a studio album.
Four years in which James Boyle has re-evaluated his sound, with the notorious perfectionist adding new wisps of melancholic melody to his approach.
New album 'When The Night Comes' is the result. Noctural in sound and theme, the record follows recent singles 'Treading Water' and 'Future', with fans keenly anticipating the producer's next move.
Out on May 25th, Clash has first play of this bass maverick's new album. Clash reviewer Matt Oliver marvelled at the record's “silent assassinations” and it's easy to see why; rather more sedate in approach than previous material, Breakage nonetheless still possesses that trademark intensity.
