There's something about Montreal.
The Canadian city is a harbour town, a thriving mesh of languages, cultures, and styles. French in heritage, Canadian in nationality, it's continually looking inward, while forever gazing outward.
FOXTROTT hails from Montreal, and Clash is pleased as punch to be able to welcome the artist to the UK for a rare European show. She'll be playing our showcase at The Great Escape, as part of a wider tour alongside her debut album 'A Taller Us'.
A vehicle for Marie-Hélène Delorme – a self-taught songwriter, singer, producer, beat maker – the project has a vivid, earnest, utterly unique sensibility.
New single 'Shields' is a case in point. Furiously contagious yet impossible to place, we're able to premiere this cool-as-hell live version.
Tune in below.
