Berlin mastermind Oliver Deutschmann relays a sharp techno exploration for the latest Clash DJ podcast.
Deutschmann’s raw brand of analogue-flavoured techno and atmospheric house have seen him through numerous powerhouse Panorama Bar sets and made him a respected remixer, after stellar efforts for labels such as Soma, Aim and Falkplatz, and his own vidab label. After five years of releasing killer 12”s and EPs, Deutschmann has finally readied his debut album, ‘Out of the Dark’, which looks set to raise his profile even further.
His Clash mix takes in tracks from Scuba, Kerri Chandler, Steffi and secretsundaze bod James Priestley, and explores the kind of moody, hypnotic dancefloor vibes (via both Berghain-ish stripped-back techno and sunnier club house) that we’ve become accustomed to hearing from him, and which he nails so sweetly.
Oliver Deutschmann’s ‘Out of the Dark Remixes’ is released in February, with the full ‘Out of the Dark’ album set for release in March.
